Album Review: Eyedress - Mulholland Drive

Mullholland Drive is the fourth studio full-length album by Filipino Musician Eyedress, It was released on August 27, 2021. This sounds exactly like some Jangle, Post Punk, Indie Pop that was dropped in the early 2010's era. Except for the songs on this are a lot more shorter and underdeveloped and dreary. It's a cool sound I enjoy, but I just feel like if they experiment a bit, It's a solid album. Between the retro laser synthesizer sound on ‘Brain Dead’ and the gothic guitar post-punk riffs of ‘Spit On Your Grave. This album is about loving yourself and your life, he continues while talking about where he’s at in his career and the message he wants to spread with his project. And the forthcoming album is as sympathetic of an offering as anyone could possibly hope for. Eyedress continuing to show off his artistic range throughout the album. Overall, Lyricism tends to grow on me, but not the music, though certain types of music take some time to recognize. I rate this album 7.5/10
