Album Review: Ministry - Moral Hygiene

New ministry album, Moral Hygiene is the fifteenth full-length studio album by the American Industrial Metal band Ministry, it was released on October 1, 2021. But I think that is an unrealistic expectation for Ministry. Al has always been in your face, and as much as the truth of current events is shocking, Al is there; in a shocking way. While defiance has become common place in the world, in the 1980's "In case you didn't feel like showing up - live" Al was screaming lyrics people wouldn't dare say. I can appreciate the eclectic mix of sounds familiar to Ministry of old while hearing him in his age not be afraid to let each track have an identity. He has always called people to question authority, in this album, it is almost over; as he cries "get ready to die" I can't help but feel his challenge the youth to clean it up. But this one is better. With Believe Me there is a total goth rock song on it where Al actually sings. Haven't heard that since Twitch, also the second song that stands out for me is Sabotage Is Sex with Jello Biafra on vocals. I recommend this album to anyone who can see the bigger picture. Ministry has evolved so much over the years in pace and aggression, but they still are just as angry. Maybe not as fast, not as ballistic. But no less powerful. I rate this album 8.5/10.
