Album Review: Molly Lewis - The Forgotten Edge

The Forgotten Edge is an debut extended play by Australian Musician Molly Lewis, It was released on July 2, 2021. In the most literal sense globally renowned whistler Molly Lewis makes her gorgeous and curious compositions out of thin air. New entrees into the Exotica canon sprawling would-be Spaghetti Western scores and a dash of Old Hollywood glamour, imagine you are in a different era, walking into a jazz club sitting at a table near the stage as the spotlight shines on the wonderful female Exotica Lounge jazz performer, her skin smooth as silk and her dress adorned with crystals shimmering like a crystal ball as she whistles to your ears with a band at the back playing the instruments with seductive alternative jazz music. that's what i see listening to this EP. it depicts film noir into music and her whistles and soft vocals in the back are dainty and captivating, backed by a wonderful instrumental that are just elegant and dazzling. it's kind of a great EP to just put in the background and listen to, I'll look forward to her work in the future. I rate this album 10/10 .
