Album Review: Paul McCartney- McCartney III

Image
McCartney lll is the 18th solo studio full-length album by English musician Paul McCartney, it was released on December 18, 2020,  Very reminiscent of the 1970 McCartney album. Basically, it’s Paul doing everything, showcasing his ability as a one-man-band. The tracks are good, but Paul can still play guitars, keyboards, and drums better than most anyone.  I’m not gonna mention a word about age, previous bands, or accomplishments. Extraordinary piece of work that covers a long range of topics, feelings, and emotions. Even more impressive is that he recorded and produced every note of this album.  While I would usually single out specific tracks for particular praise, in this case, I would prefer to simply say that I found every single track both powerful and beguiling. However, I will call your attention to the astonishing range of musical styles in this set, from slow, simmering blues to gentle acoustic folk. It is nothing short of miraculous that, over the course of a career that now

Album Review: Luz Futuro - Falsos Techos

Image
Falso Techos is a brand new ep by Spaniard Post-punk New Wave musician Luz Futuro, it was released on December 21, 2020, If you are nostalgic for the Spanish music of the 80s, the young Canary artist Daniel Benavides del Pino a.k.a. Luz Futuro is your man. He is undoubtedly one of the most interesting proposals with which we closed 2020 full of new musical discoveries. Thanks to his father's musical influence when he was nothing more than a "pibe", Luz, manages to create a completely fresh and renewed new version of pop, rock, and new wave that sounded in one of the golden eras of music in Europe. Imagine for a moment what the music of groups like Duncan Dhu or La Unión would look forward to if they continued to produce with a direct look at today's society, for that is Luz Futuro; a nostalgic who bets on a past he did not even live and that leaves us even more doubts about whether reincarnation exists. It got this airy retro wonder jangle guitar and harmonizing vocal

Album Review: Molchat Doma - Monument

Image
Monument is the third full-length studio album by Belarusian post-punk band Molchat Doma. it was released on November 13, 2020. It was recorded in their hometown of Minsk, Belarus in the midst of the Covid-19 global   pandemic which caused the cancelation of their 2020 tour. I love how each song in this has its own memorable tune to it and it's just a beautiful experience listening to it.  and you can just tell how much effort and passion there is in them. It stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave, and synth-pop. Dark yet danceable, and with a substantial dose of goth quintessence, their music is reminiscent of the masters that predate them, but make no mistake: Molchat Doma creates a sound and meaning that is immediately recognizable as all their own.  Every album hits me differently. this album is special you can really hear 80s revival influence, Another legendry masterpiece is rising, t heir greatest strength has always been their songwriting, and they’ve only gotte

Album Review: The Avalanches - We Will Always Love You

Image
We Will Always Love You  is the third studio full-length album from the Australian group The  Avalanches  it was released on  December 11, 2020.  The Avalanches (Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi) members released their second studio album, Wildflower , in 2016. As the album came 16 years after their debut Since I left you , the electronic group felt they now had a fresh clean slate to work on new music material,  This is an absolutely wonderful album.  but I wouldn't take away a single day for this beauty.  Musically, the album is very similar to the album cuts (i.e., the "not singles") from their previous album and flows very well.    Getting through that, what we think the band owes us, this is fantastic. In-the-pocket feels throughout, kind of a staple of lo-fi dance, pop, electronic but it's even more appreciated with the patented  Sampledelia   sound.  The Avalanches have generated wonderful soundscapes, so distinct, they can only be described as the sound of The

Album Review: Kid Cudi- Man On The Moon III: The Chosen

Image
Man on the Moon III: The Chosen  is the seventh studio full-length album by American rapper Kid Cudi . It was released on December 11, 2020,  The 18-track album features special guest appearances from Pop Smoke , Skepta, Phoebe Bridgers, Trippie Redd.  Just like the first two Man on the Moon albums, MOTM III: The Chosen was an okay album, maybe four tracks were good,  something was missing in this new composition, the rest were easily forgettable, I would compare this album to a new age Soundcloud rapper trying to find their way, don't me wrong Kid Cudi is under-appreciated; probably the most underrated artist of his generation. I love his work; his style has always been his own thing and I always admired that about him, there's just no artist like him. As a longtime fan that grew up with MOTM 1 and 2, I feel closure with this album. All of his albums has gotten me through tough times. Cudi completed  the trilogy of man on the moon,  I rate this album  6/10.

Album Review: Com Truise- In Decay, Too

Image
In Decay, Too  is a studio full-length compilation album by American electronic synth-wave musician Seth Haley's project  Com Truise, it was released on December 4, 2020. T his album hits all the marks for me. Deeply groovy, funky, melodious, unique, retro yet modern, smashing.  but has a fusion of more contemporary sound. It reminds me of an 80's SCI-FI film every time I listen to it.  What's different about this record compared to the one everyone seems to love best, Galactic Melt is that In Decay, Too it has an atmosphere. It's unsettling. It sounds utterly lost, yet embracing a certain oblivion that all and any 80's digital sound. t he great achievement is that in terms of sound, Com Truise discove red (though it's brilliant and crude textures) not only what made the 80's tick, but also its obsession and outright acceptance of anything synthetic as uncompromisingly authentic. For this and so much more, In Decay, too is essential listening. It is truly a
