Album Review: Com Truise- In Decay, Too

In Decay, Too is a studio full-length compilation album by American electronic synth-wave musician Seth Haley's project Com Truise, it was released on December 4, 2020. This album hits all the marks for me. Deeply groovy, funky, melodious, unique, retro yet modern, smashing. but has a fusion of more contemporary sound. It reminds me of an 80's SCI-FI film every time I listen to it. What's different about this record compared to the one everyone seems to love best, Galactic Melt is that In Decay, Too it has an atmosphere. It's unsettling. It sounds utterly lost, yet embracing a certain oblivion that all and any 80's digital sound. the great achievement is that in terms of sound, Com Truise discovered (though it's brilliant and crude textures) not only what made the 80's tick, but also its obsession and outright acceptance of anything synthetic as uncompromisingly authentic. For this and so much more, In Decay, too is essential listening. It is truly a work of art. I rate this album 10/10.
