Album Review: Thundercat - It is What it is

It is What it is is the fourth album by Thundercat released on April 3, 2020, Thundercat comes with the heat once again. Another solid composition. If you are a fan of Thundercat, you will dig it, if not, it probably isn't going to change your mind. The first few tracks are more towards free jazz, but throughout the album, there is still the same artistry and virtuosity that you would expect from Thundercat as well as influences from hip hop/electronica. Thundercat is older and wiser so of course, the sound and topics are more mature than in his previous records. King of the hill is the first lead single. I rate this album 10/10.

Monument is the third full-length studio album by Belarusian post-punk band Molchat Doma. it was released on November 13, 2020. It was recorded in their hometown of Minsk, Belarus in the midst of the Covid-19 global   pandemic which caused the cancelation of their 2020 tour. I love how each song in this has its own memorable tune to it and it's just a beautiful experience listening to it.  and you can just tell how much effort and passion there is in them. It stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave, and synth-pop. Album Review: Tricky - Fall to Pieces

Fall to Pieces is the fourteenth studio full-length album by trip-hop musician Tricky, it was released on September 4, 2020. it's featuring special guest appearances Marta and Oh. Land.  Warning though, this set of songs is ineffable. If you like complexity and dense unexpected rhythms and melodic twists, this isn't for you.  It is moody, plangent and slightly dark but also  aesthetic .  It is also deceptively simple moving music,  saving grace is it's an earnestness to evolve and grow is more palpable than anything I've heard from any post-trip-hop act. A wonderful piece of music,   I didn't expect this to turn out this good in today's underground platform, I highly recommend this record who enjoy this type of music genre, it translates privation into an instant of nauseatingly raw exposed emotion in this entire record, I rate this album solid 9/10. Album Review: Part Time - Spell #6

Spell #6 is the seventh studio album by Part-Time, which was fronted by based musician David Loca. It was released on November 2, 2018, Show his pop/indie rock proficiency while adding new elements while maintaining the quality, but also very original at the same time. Truly great album.  Most  Notably Ariel Pink, who makes a guest appearance on lead single,  I Can Treat You Better.   The entire record has romantic  gestures and an unrequited love vibe. I rate this album 10/10 .
