Album Review: Angel Olsen- Whole New Mess

Whole New Mess is the fifth full-length studio album by Indie singer Angel Olsen, It was released on August 28, 2020, This brand new album Angel Olsen went back to her folk roots, atmospheric, simple folky guitar progression and very similar to her early work, Her balladry is intelligent without pretension, you can hear the influence of Leonard Cohen in some songs but you can also hear a little Roy Orbison as well, Her 2019 album All Mirror is a completely different record, more arranged intimate baroque pop approach. Beautiful haunting yodel voice brings to mind empty prairies and lonely hearts. It really gets under your skin, as the most emotional kind of singing range. This is a great, unique album. There's a meaningful message in every song, Definitely deserves repeated listens, after which these aching melodies are stuck in your head forever.  I highly recommend this amazing record to anyone who enthusiastic and loves the raw folk ambience, I rate this album 10/10.
