Album Review: Steve Lacy - Apollo XXI

Apollo XXI is the debut album by R&B musician Steve Lacy, It was released on May 24, 2019. A solid body of work and I'm proud that we have a sensational musician like Steve Lacy in this generation, each track brings back some type of good nostalgic memory, very soothing summertime album, Music like this helps restore my faith in the notion that good, relaxing, funky, soulful; words I would use to describe this album, that deserves more commercial success, a contemplative combination of R&B, hip-hop, & lo-fi pop but feels hesitant to claim the media attention, also this record heavily influenced by Prince early projects and the way he mixes amazing riffs on the guitar with a lot of emotions in his voice is so satisfying and smooth, the soul of the lyrics and poetry brings me to emotional state, you put your heart and soul and intuition into this record, I highly recommend this incredible album, to experience authenticity from beginning to end, I rate this album 10/10.
