Album Review: Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher

Punisher is the second full-length studio album by indie rock emo folk musician Phoebe Bridgers, it was released on June  18, 2020.  Punisher offers up a lot of the same that her debut album did as far as songwriting. Songs are very sensitive, personal trauma, and confessional bordering on "Diary of a teen girl" style melodrama piece. Unfortunately, many of the tracks suffer from tacky music overproduction. The subtle, ethereal emo folk elements in the production are nice and compliment the songs well. The musical arrangements are amazing, serene piano, folky guitar riffs & violin, I like the eerie feel and simplicity of garden track but for the most part, these songs are solid. The problem with this musician for me is that every song melody sound really similar. Phoebe's lyrics are bright and have a lot of personality. I rate this album solid decent 8/10.
