Album Review: Automatic- Signal

Signal is the debut studio album by American post-punk group Automatic, it was released on September 27, 2019. What an amazing minimal post-punk album, which grows on you the more you listen to it. There is something intense and driving about the music, the energy it whisks out is full of exuberance and surprise when contrasted with the lyrics which are anti-sentimental, and personal. There's just so much bliss in the darkness, and it's driving hypnotic bass and drums, with perfect experimental synth accents. Definitely, a band to watch live, the band first met while involved in Los Angeles DIY music scene and started jamming together in 2017. Over the past year, they have become a complete three-piece band, The post-punk band is influenced by NEU, ESG & Broadcast, but it penetrates the entire record and each song is compact and their visuals too, the quality of the sound that band created made a huge impact, all the songs got a really nice upbeat minimal melody, I highly recommend it, if you enjoy post-punk music genre, please check it out and you won't regret the new indie discovery, I rate this album 10/10. Automatic: Signal Album Review | Pitchfork
